WhatsApp iPad App Finally Released - What You Need to Know

WhatsApp Now Officially Available on iPad
Meta officially announced the release of WhatsApp for iPad on Tuesday. This dedicated application enables users to engage in both audio and video calls with up to 32 participants.
The app facilitates screen sharing and provides the flexibility to utilize either the front or rear-facing camera during calls.
Previous iPad Access Limitations
Prior to this release, iPad users were limited to accessing WhatsApp solely through the web-based version within a browser.
Enhanced Multitasking Capabilities
WhatsApp states that users can now leverage the full potential of iPadOS multitasking features. This includes functionalities like Stage Manager, Split View, and Slide Over.
These tools allow for simultaneous viewing of multiple applications, enabling users to message while browsing or collaborate on plans during calls.
Previously, such actions on mobile devices required switching away from the WhatsApp interface.
Optimized Accessory Support
The new iPad app is designed to seamlessly integrate with the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil, according to WhatsApp.
Cross-Device Synchronization and Security
This application ensures complete synchronization of data across all devices, including iPhones, Macs, and other platforms.
All personal messages, calls, and media remain secure thanks to WhatsApp’s established end-to-end encryption.
Anticipated Release
The introduction of a dedicated iPad app was hinted at by Meta’s WhatsApp X (formerly Twitter) account through a discreet post on the previous day.
Instagram's Potential iPad App
Notably, Instagram, another application owned by Meta, is also reportedly in development of its own iPad application.
Availability
The dedicated WhatsApp iPad app is currently available for download from the App Store.
