The following individuals comprised the crew for Blue Origin’s New Shepard NS-18 mission.

Crew Member Profiles

William Shatner, a celebrated actor, is perhaps most recognized for his iconic portrayal of Captain James T. Kirk in the science fiction series “Star Trek.”

Audrey Powers holds the position of Vice President of New Shepard Mission & Flight Operations at Blue Origin. She has been associated with the company since 2013.

Prior to her current role, Powers functioned as Blue Origin’s deputy general counsel. She transitioned to the mission and flight operations team focusing on the New Shepard rocket.

Chris Boshuizen is a co-founder of Planet Labs, a company specializing in Earth imaging. He currently operates as a partner at the venture capital firm DCVC.

Glen de Vries is the co-founder of Medidata Solutions, a company focused on clinical trial software. He also serves as the vice chair of life sciences and healthcare at Dassault Systèmes.

Dassault Systèmes, a French software company, acquired Medidata in 2019.
