Voyager Space Holdings Acquires The Launch Company - Space News

Voyager Space Holdings, a firm actively expanding its capabilities through strategic acquisitions to create a complete and diverse space technology portfolio, has revealed its plan to purchase The Launch Company. This Anchorage-based startup concentrates on “optimizing launch procedures,” with the long-term goal of establishing a launch complex designed to accommodate numerous operators and enable rapid launch sequencing for various providers.

The Launch Company has already collaborated with several organizations within the burgeoning space industry, including Firefly, Relativity, and Virgin Orbit. The company participated in the DARPA launch challenge, an initiative intended to stimulate the creation of adaptable and mobile multi-vehicle launch systems. Their emphasis on adaptable and efficient launch solutions is highly sought after, serving not only the developing commercial space sector but also substantial and consistent customers such as the Department of Defense and the U.S. Air Force.

Voyager’s strategy centers on building a collection of businesses that enable the company to offer clients throughout the space industry greater vertical integration across all phases of mission design and execution. Earlier this year, they completed the acquisition of Pioneer Technologies, which is collaborating with NASA on components of the Artemis program. Last year, Voyager also acquired Altius Space Machines, a company specializing in satellite interfacing, maintenance, and design.
