View and Delete Saved Passwords in Firefox - Easy Guide

Managing Passwords with Firefox

Firefox provides a Password Manager, enabling the secure storage of your website usernames and passwords. Upon revisiting a saved site, Firefox can automatically populate the login credentials for you.

Should you need to recall a password previously saved within Firefox, the process is straightforward. Access your saved passwords by selecting 'Options' from the Firefox menu.

Accessing Firefox Options

The Options dialog can be opened either through the main Firefox menu or via its submenu.

For increased security, it is strongly recommended to implement a master password for your Firefox Password Manager. Without this, unauthorized access to your account could expose your saved credentials.

To enable a master password, return to the Options dialog and check the 'Use a master password' box.

Certain websites may not permit the saving of usernames and passwords, rendering the Firefox Password Manager ineffective for those sites. Additionally, some websites offer a 'stay logged in' option, which functions independently of Firefox’s password management features.
