ureeka taps kevin o’leary (aka mr. wonderful) to launch smb curriculum

Ureeka, a mentorship platform designed to support small and medium-sized businesses and the next generation of entrepreneurs, has announced the launch of the Kevin O’Leary Bootcamp. This new program will provide members with exclusive access to a curriculum based on his expertise and guidance.
The company, which secured $8.6 million in funding in April, aims to be a comprehensive mentorship resource for founders from underrepresented groups across various industries. In addition to fostering a network of fellow entrepreneurs for collaboration, Ureeka offers complimentary access to mentors – professionals actively working in their fields – and premium access to coaches who provide sustained support for six months or longer to address specific challenges.
The introduction of the Kevin O’Leary Bootcamp highlights the value of Ureeka’s coaching circles. These circles consist of five members paired with a coach, who facilitates weekly discussions centered around key aspects of business development and assigns actionable tasks for participants.
For the Kevin O’Leary Bootcamp specifically, Ureeka’s coaches have been thoroughly trained in his unique curriculum and methodology to deliver these weekly sessions and share his distinctive insights.
“He connects with our audience because he is a practicing entrepreneur,” explained Ureeka co-founder Melissa Bradley. “He has firsthand experience and a proven track record. Furthermore, many programs prioritize ongoing consultation rather than tangible results. He avoids that model, focusing instead on providing clear direction, outlining the steps to success, and achieving measurable outcomes.”
Bradley also noted that several companies from O’Leary’s investment portfolio were involved with Ureeka in its early stages, establishing the initial connection between the startup and the well-known investor.
Here is a statement provided by O’Leary:
The Kevin O’Leary Bootcamp spans 12 months and has a total cost of $3,750, equating to $312.50 per month.
A distinctive feature of Ureeka is its multi-faceted support system, offering members several avenues for assistance when facing obstacles. They can seek guidance from their coach, consult with a mentor, engage with peers in their coaching circle, and tap into the broader Ureeka community.
Co-founder David Jakubowski and Bradley identify building user trust and managing growth as the primary challenges for Ureeka.
“Given the current global climate, there is a significant demand for assistance,” said Jakubowski. “However, lasting improvement isn’t achieved through quick fixes. It requires a consistent, systematic approach to implementing effective strategies. The sheer number of individuals needing funding or advice is substantial, and addressing that need can be overwhelming.”
