TikTok Star Detained by ICE - Influencer Involvement

Khaby Lame Briefly Detained and Departs the U.S.
Khaby Lame, presently recognized as the most followed creator on TikTok globally, was recently held by U.S. immigration authorities in Las Vegas before subsequently exiting the country, as reported by The New York Times.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) stated that Lame, an Italian-Senegalese influencer celebrated for his wordless, stoic responses to trending videos, remained in the country beyond the permitted duration of his visa following his arrival in April.
It is understood that he was permitted to leave voluntarily and is currently outside of the United States.
Reported by a Fellow Influencer
The incident gained significant media attention after Bo Loudon, a young influencer, publicly claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that he alerted authorities to Lame’s immigration status.
Loudon, who frequently shares political commentary, indicated he contacted individuals within his network to make the report.
Lame’s Rise to Prominence
Lame, age 25, has amassed a substantial international audience and secured numerous profitable endorsements following job loss experienced during the pandemic.
Beyond collaborations with prominent brands such as Hugo Boss, he has made a cameo appearance in a Hollywood film and featured as the central figure in a three-episode travel documentary series focused on his experiences within the U.S.
As of now, Lame has not issued any public statement regarding this matter.
