Threads Testing Post Scheduling Feature

Threads to Introduce Post Scheduling Functionality

Meta's social platform, Threads, is currently undergoing trials of a new feature enabling users to schedule posts in advance. This development was announced by Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram.

The initial testing phase will exclude the ability to schedule replies. This deliberate limitation aims to strike a balance between providing users with planning tools and maintaining the platform’s focus on immediate, dynamic interactions.

How the Scheduling Feature Works

Participants in the test group will discover a scheduling option within the composer’s three-dot menu. All posts that are scheduled will be conveniently located within the drafts folder.

From the drafts folder, users will have the ability to modify scheduled posts, remove them entirely, or adjust their planned publication times.

Expanding Scheduling Capabilities Across Meta Platforms

Just this week, Instagram broadened its scheduling capabilities to include direct messages. The platform already allows users to schedule posts for their primary feed.

Mark Zuckerberg recently revealed that Threads has surpassed 100 million daily active users and boasts over 300 million monthly active users.

This growth underscores the platform’s increasing popularity and the demand for features that enhance user experience and content management.

The introduction of post scheduling is expected to further empower Threads users, allowing for more strategic and efficient content planning.
