Tesla Model S & Model X Interior: A First Look

The Model S is set to receive notable interior modifications this year. Following considerable speculation, Tesla officially acknowledged the updates with a series of images released shortly before its quarterly earnings presentation this afternoon.

Certain alterations—such as the adoption of a widescreen display—have been incorporated from the Model 3. Other changes represent completely new features.

(Update: Tesla’s website has been revised to show that the Model X SUV will also be receiving the following updates!)

Here’s a summary of the changes observed so far:

A steering “yoke” resembling an airplane control system (similar to the one observed in prototypes of Tesla’s upcoming Roadster) will replace the conventional circular steering wheel.
