TechCrunch Launches Survey of European Tech Ecosystems Beyond Major Capitals

TechCrunch is initiating a significant new undertaking: a comprehensive survey targeting founders and investors situated in European cities beyond the traditionally prominent capital locations.

Over the coming weeks, we will be soliciting direct input from entrepreneurs within these cities, allowing them to characterize their respective ecosystems using their own perspectives.

Opportunity to Highlight Emerging Tech Hubs

This represents a key opportunity to showcase Delft, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, and Utrecht on the TechCrunch platform! Our previous coverage of Amsterdam can be found here.

Tech startup founders and investors located in any of these cities are encouraged to participate by completing the survey available here.

We are especially keen to receive responses from women founders and investors, to ensure a diverse range of viewpoints.

Building on Previous Investor Surveys

This initiative builds upon a substantial survey of investors conducted over the past six months, primarily focusing on capital cities.

These surveys are part of an ongoing series regularly produced for Extra Crunch, TechCrunch’s subscription service dedicated to in-depth analysis of critical topics for startups and investors.

The initial phase of surveys largely concentrated on capital cities, a list of which can be reviewed here.

Capturing Growth in European Tech Hubs

This current effort will focus on gathering insights from founders and investors in other European cities, aiming to document the growth and development of these hubs as seen by those directly involved.

We are interested in understanding how your city’s startup environment is changing, the effects of COVID-19 on the technology sector, and the anticipated future evolution of your city.

Submissions will be published with minimal editing, and we request responses of at least one to two paragraphs in length for each question.

Participate in the Survey

Therefore, if you are a tech startup founder or investor in one of the designated cities, please contribute your insights by completing our survey form here.

Your participation is greatly appreciated. For any inquiries, please contact mike@techcrunch.com or reach out to @mikebutcher on Twitter.
