This session will explore Hamilton’s approach to identifying prime investment opportunities and fostering positive disruption.

Identifying and Dismantling Tech’s Deep Systems of Bias: Many widely used technologies and services contain inherent biases or exclusionary practices, often overlooked by those in positions of privilege but readily apparent to affected groups. This panel will discuss methods for exposing and documenting these systems, and strategies for their elimination and prevention. AI for the People’s Mutale Nkonde, disability rights lawyer Haben Girma, and author Safiya Umoja Noble will lead this discussion.

Founders in Focus: This segment features interviews with founders who are poised to become the next major disruptors in the industry. We will be speaking with Tracy Chou of Block Party, a platform dedicated to protecting individuals from online abuse and harassment.

Why Social Media is Broken and What To Do About It: The proliferation of toxic online cultures, dangerous conspiracies, and organized hate speech has become a significant concern. This discussion will examine the responsibility of social networks in the rise of these issues and explore strategies for building healthier online communities that contribute positively to society. Naj Austin (Somewhere Good & Ethel’s Club), Jesse Lehrich (Accountable Tech) and Rashad Robinson (Color of Change) will be participating.

Meeting of the Minds: For years, diversity and inclusion have been agenda items for tech companies. However, the industry continues to struggle with genuine inclusion, despite the efforts of diversity, equity, and inclusion leaders. This panel will seek to understand the obstacles hindering progress and identify the steps needed to achieve meaningful change. Sandra Altine (Facebook), Wade Davis (Netflix) and Bo Young Lee (Uber) will share their perspectives.
