sustain.life Launches Carbon Measurement Platform, Secures $7M Pre-Seed

The number of businesses emerging with solutions to assist organizations in quantifying and lessening their carbon footprint is rapidly increasing. Several companies, including Normative and Plan A, already operate in this space, each offering varying levels of detail and different methodologies.
Introducing Sustain.Life
Sustain.Life is the newest entrant, officially exiting its beta phase today. The company positions itself as an “affordable, easy-to-use SaaS platform” designed to facilitate the adoption of more environmentally responsible business practices.
To date, Sustain.Life has secured $7 million in pre-seed funding, though the identities of the investors remain undisclosed.
Early Adopters and Platform Features
Sustain.Life has already onboarded several clients during its beta testing, including Dame, You.com, and the Sustainable Cannabis Coalition.
The platform provides a free introductory tier, granting access to core carbon accounting functionalities. This includes calculators for scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
Full access to the platform’s comprehensive features is available at a subscription cost of $250 per month.

Founding and Leadership
Annalee Bloomfield, CEO of Sustain.Life and also a co-founder of 4Sided Venture Studio, stated the company’s mission.
Sustain.Life represents the inaugural venture to be launched by 4Sided Venture Studio, a startup incubator focused on building and investing in B2B SaaS companies.
The Team Behind Sustain.Life
Both 4Sided and Sustain.Life were co-founded by individuals with extensive experience in the retail technology sector. This includes Mike Hanrahan, a co-founder of Jet.com; Annalee Bloomfield, the current CEO of Sustain.Life; and Patrick Campagnano, who previously led Engineering at Walmart’s Intelligent Retail Lab.
These founders previously collaborated while developing technology for Walmart’s Intelligent Retail Lab.
