Superops Secures $25M Funding to Enhance MSPs with AI

SuperOps Secures $25 Million in Series C Funding to Enhance AI Capabilities
SuperOps, an India-based startup specializing in IT support solutions for managed service providers (MSPs) and enterprise IT departments, has successfully completed a $25 million Series C funding round. This investment brings the company’s post-money valuation to $200 million, and will be strategically allocated towards bolstering its artificial intelligence (AI) offerings.
Addressing IT Support Challenges for Remote Teams
Enterprises increasingly reliant on remote workforces often encounter difficulties in delivering timely and effective IT support. Challenges range from new employee onboarding to resolving technical issues promptly. MSPs are typically engaged to address these needs, but even they can benefit from additional assistance. SuperOps is designed to fill this gap in the market.
Targeting the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Market
While the IT service management space is competitive, SuperOps differentiates itself by focusing on small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with constrained IT budgets. The company specifically targets MSPs employing between five and fifty technicians, generating annual revenues from $1 million to $20 million, and supporting client organizations with 500 to 5,000 employees. Key competitors include Atera and NinjaOne.
SuperOps provides a comprehensive suite of tools, encompassing professional services automation (PSA), a remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform, network monitoring capabilities, and IT documentation solutions.
Leveraging the India Advantage for Cost-Effective Support
“Due to our operational base in India, we can extend support to our clients – MSPs and internal IT teams – regardless of their subscription level,” explained Arvind Parthiban, co-founder and CEO of SuperOps. “Even with payments as low as $100, we are committed to providing assistance.”
The company’s pricing structure is notably competitive; SuperOps charges $1.50 per endpoint for its tools, compared to the $4 per endpoint charged by competitors such as NinjaOne.
Positioning as a Value-Driven Alternative
“We strive to offer a balance between affordability and premium features,” Parthiban stated. “We aim to be the ‘OnePlus’ of the industry, delivering exceptional value without the high price tag associated with brands like Apple.”
Founding and Growth
SuperOps was established in 2020 by Arvind Parthiban and Jayakumar Karumbasalam, who previously held leadership positions at Freshworks and Zoho for over a decade.
Over the last year, the company has experienced substantial growth, tripling its customer base to 1,300 clients across 104 countries. The United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia represent its primary markets.
Series C Funding Details
The recent all-equity Series C funding round, valued at $25 million, was led by March Capital, with continued support from existing investors Addition and Z47. This round follows a $12.4 million Series B raise completed over a year ago.
AI-Powered Innovation: Monica and Future Developments
Last year, SuperOps introduced Monica, an AI assistant powered by GPT technology. Monica analyzes MSP datasets to deliver tailored insights and automate routine tasks. The company is now focused on enhancing Monica with a predictive algorithm.
This upgrade will analyze historical ticket data to anticipate potential issues and proactively suggest solutions, with an anticipated launch within the next year.
Expanding into Endpoint Management
SuperOps has also launched an AI-driven endpoint management tool designed for IT teams with limited resources. This tool offers intelligent alerts, automates essential maintenance tasks like patching and software updates, and prioritizes incident response. This expansion aims to strengthen SuperOps’ position within the broader IT services market, where internal IT teams currently account for 20% of its customer base.
Future Expansion Plans
The newly acquired funding will facilitate SuperOps’ entry into the mid-market enterprise segment, geographic expansion into new regions, and increased market share within the U.S. Plans include establishing an office in London before the end of the year, and extending operations to Latin America, Spain, Portugal, and Germany.
Team and Revenue Growth
Currently, SuperOps employs a team of 200 individuals, with 180 based in India and 10 in the United States. The company intends to accelerate hiring in the coming months, aiming for a 300% increase in revenue this year, according to Parthiban.
