SpaceX Funding: Valuation Reaches $400 Billion

SpaceX Pursues Funding Round with $400 Billion Valuation
According to reports from Bloomberg, SpaceX is currently exploring options to secure additional funding through the issuance of new shares to existing stakeholders.
This financing strategy involves a direct fundraising effort alongside a tender offer. The tender offer will provide a pathway for employees to liquidate a portion of their equity to a limited number of investors.
Details of the Proposed Fundraising
Sources familiar with the matter, who requested anonymity, have indicated that SpaceX regularly conducts tender offers, typically twice annually.
The planned fundraising is projected to elevate the company’s overall valuation to approximately $400 billion.
Valuation Growth Trajectory
SpaceX has experienced substantial growth in its valuation since its inception over two decades ago.
The company surpassed the $100 billion valuation milestone in October 2021. This figure subsequently doubled within a three-year timeframe.
This current funding round signifies a considerable increase compared to the $350 billion valuation established during the tender offer completed in December 2024.
Ongoing Discussions and Potential Adjustments
It is important to note that negotiations are still in progress. Consequently, the terms of the deal, including the ultimate share price, remain subject to change.
The final details will be determined as discussions advance.
