Linking Your Social Media Accounts

To begin utilizing Twibbon, the initial step involves establishing a connection between your social networks and the platform. Select either Login with Facebook or Login with Twitter, located in the upper right corner of the homepage, to initiate this process.

A prompt will appear requesting permission for Twibbon to access your chosen social media account. Granting access to either Twitter or Facebook, or both, will display the connected service in the top right-hand section of the screen.

Exploring and Creating Twibbons

With your preferred account successfully linked, you are now able to browse available causes and campaigns. Furthermore, the platform allows you to create your own Twibbons at no cost.

Twibbon empowers users to demonstrate support for various causes directly through their social media profiles.

• Connecting accounts is a straightforward process.
• Users can both join existing campaigns and design their own.
• The service is available for both Facebook and Twitter.

After authorization, the linked accounts will be visible, enabling seamless integration with the Twibbon platform.

Participating in Existing Campaigns

Discover current popular campaigns by revisiting the main page. There, you’ll find a listing of all trending causes, and you’ll likely observe numerous campaigns created for entertainment purposes.

It isn't necessary to be a dedicated activist or have a strong affinity for a specific charity; a wide variety of campaigns are available to join simply for enjoyment.

Once you identify a campaign that interests you, select Support This. This will direct you to a page where you can adjust the placement of your Twibbon.

Upon completion, click Show my support now! to update your profile picture on either Twitter or Facebook, depending on your connected account.

You might also be redirected to a website associated with the cause, should the campaign creator have selected the paid advertising option. Additionally, you may be prompted to follow the campaign creator and share a pre-written tweet expressing your support.

While some users may find this automatic sharing undesirable, it can be quickly reversed with minimal effort.

Should you feel passionate about a cause not currently represented, you have the option to initiate your own campaign, enabling others to participate.

Designing Custom Twibbons

Initiating a campaign to garner support requires clicking Start A Campaign, located at the page's upper section. Several details must be provided before image uploading and campaign finalization can occur.

You will be asked to input your email address, a campaign title, and a concise description – often including a URL for established causes. Furthermore, you must assign a category, sub-category, and up to four relevant tags. After completion, select Save and Continue.

The next step involves preparing your visual assets. Specific image dimensions and file size limits apply to each platform:

Twitter requires images of 73x73 pixels, with a maximum file size of 150KB.

Facebook necessitates images measuring 200x200 pixels, also capped at a 150KB file size.

The image must be saved in PNG format, and transparency is essential. This ensures users’ profile pictures remain visible when the Twibbon is applied.

Regardless of your chosen image editor – whether Photoshop, GIMP, or another program – a new square image with a transparent background needs to be created. Then, scale it down to the appropriate dimensions for each platform. Ensure full .PNG transparency is maintained during saving, and then upload the image.
