Before Utilizing the Extension
For testing purposes, we examined the CNN.com International website. Previously, the only method for refreshing the page was a manual reload. Individuals who regularly monitor websites prone to session expiration or those with dynamic content likely encounter frequent frustration.
Getting Started with ReloadEvery
Following installation and a Firefox restart, the extension is immediately operational. There are no configuration options to navigate; simply benefit from the integrated “Context Menu” functionality.
A new entry is added to the “Context Menu”, and the initial step involves activating automatic webpage reloading.
Upon enabling automatic reloading, the extension defaults to a refresh interval of 10 seconds. Should these preset intervals prove unsuitable, a “Custom” option allows for personalized configuration.
Selecting “Custom” opens a window where you can specify the desired refresh interval in minutes and seconds. The default “Custom” setting is 1 minute and 30 seconds.
We chose a precise interval of 3 minutes, but the setting can be adjusted to your preference – this flexibility is a key advantage of the extension.
Revisiting the “Context Menu” reveals that “Custom” is now the active setting, replacing the default “10 seconds”. At the bottom, options are available to apply the selected “time” to all open tabs or to globally disable automatic reloading.

Although seemingly simple, this extension can significantly enhance your browsing experience (for example, monitoring an eBay auction or a “Woot Off” at Woot.com). If you are frequently required to re-authenticate or manually refresh pages, this extension is a valuable addition to your toolkit.
