Scale AI Secures $325 Million in Series E Funding
A substantial $325 million Series E funding round was recently announced by Scale AI. The investment was spearheaded by Dragoneer, Greenoaks Capital, and Tiger Global.
This financing has resulted in a $7 billion valuation for the San Francisco-based data labeling company.

Scale AI was established in 2016 by Alexandr Wang, while he was still a student at MIT.
Prior to founding the company, Wang gained experience at both Quora and Addepar. He initially conceived Scale AI to provide curated data specifically for artificial intelligence applications.
Currently, the company operates at the break-even point and boasts a diverse clientele. Notable clients include General Motors, Nvidia, Nuro, and Zoox.
Future Plans and Expansion
With significant venture capital backing, Scale AI intends to substantially increase its workforce. This expansion will support the development of new products and entry into new markets.
“The past year demonstrated that AI will have applications across numerous sectors,” Wang explained in a recent TechCrunch interview. “We are at a nascent stage, and we aim to be well-prepared for future developments.”
