TechCrunch Launches Survey of European Tech Ecosystems Beyond Major Capitals

TechCrunch is initiating a significant new undertaking: a comprehensive survey targeting founders and investors situated in European cities outside of the primary capital hubs.

Over the coming weeks, we will be soliciting direct input from entrepreneurs within these locales, allowing them to characterize their respective ecosystems using their own perspectives.

This represents an opportunity to highlight Gdańsk, Wroclaw, Krakow, and Poznan on the TechCrunch platform!

Tech startup founders and investors operating within these cities are encouraged to complete the survey available here. We are especially keen to receive responses from women founders and investors.

Building on Previous Investor Surveys

This initiative builds upon a substantial survey of investors conducted over the past six months, primarily focusing on capital cities. These findings contributed to a larger, ongoing series of surveys designed for Extra Crunch subscribers.

Extra Crunch, our subscription-based service, provides in-depth analysis of critical topics relevant to both startups and investors.

The initial phase of surveys largely concentrated on capital cities, a list of which can be found here.

Now, our focus shifts to surveying founders and investors in other European cities, aiming to document the growth of these emerging hubs as seen through the eyes of those directly involved.

Focus of the Survey

We are interested in understanding how your city’s startup environment is changing, the effects of COVID-19 on the technology sector, and the anticipated future development of your city.

Submissions will be published with minimal editing, and we request responses of at least one to two paragraphs in length for each question.

Therefore, if you are a tech startup founder or investor in one of the specified cities, please contribute your insights by completing our survey form here.

Your participation is greatly appreciated. For any inquiries, please contact mike@techcrunch.com or reach out to @mikebutcher on Twitter.
