OneSoil Secures $5 Million in Funding for Agricultural Technology

OneSoil, a company dedicated to providing farmers with tools for field monitoring and yield enhancement, has successfully raised $5 million in a funding round. The investment was led by international investors Almaz Capital and PortfoLion.

Innovative Farming Analytics

The core of OneSoil’s technology lies in the integration of satellite imagery with both mobile and desktop applications. This combination delivers comprehensive farming analytics.

These analytics encompass remote crop monitoring capabilities, alongside variable-rate seed and fertilizer applications. These features are designed to minimize time spent on physical field inspections and optimize resource utilization.

Rapid User Growth

Within just two and a half years of its launch, OneSoil has amassed a user base exceeding 200,000 farmers and agricultural consultants.

The service is currently utilized across more than 180 countries globally, demonstrating its widespread appeal and accessibility.

Significant Land Coverage

OneSoil reports that its users currently oversee approximately 5% of the world’s arable land – a total of 197 million acres.

Notably, the company’s clientele includes prominent agricultural organizations such as BASF and Krone.

Expansion Plans

The newly acquired funding from Almaz and PortfoLion will be strategically allocated to bolster OneSoil’s market presence in both the Americas and Europe.

“Our goal is to empower farmers with the data they need to make sound decisions, minimize waste, and maximize profitability,” explains Slava Mazai, CEO of OneSoil.

“We achieve this by offering digital tools that leverage real-time, large-scale satellite imagery processing, providing our users with superior analytics and insights.”

Building a Leading Digital Platform

OneSoil intends to establish itself as the foremost digital platform for informed agricultural solutions and precision agriculture.

To accelerate this progress, the company plans to recruit skilled technology and marketing professionals in Europe and the CIS region.

Furthermore, OneSoil is actively seeking consultants and business partners specializing in agronomy throughout North and South America.

Investor Confidence

Pavel Bogdanov, an investor at Almaz, highlighted the company’s impressive adoption rate among farmers as a key factor in the investment decision.

“Historically, the adoption of new tools in the agricultural sector has been gradual, hindered by product complexity, cost considerations, and a natural reluctance to embrace change.

However, OneSoil has defied these trends, experiencing remarkable growth in global usage, which ultimately led us to invest and support their continued development of valuable solutions for farmers,” Bogdanov stated.
