Revolut Pursues New Funding at $65 Billion Valuation
According to reports from the Financial Times, Revolut, a prominent fintech company in Europe, is currently seeking a new round of funding.
This funding initiative aims to establish a company valuation of $65 billion.
Details of the Funding Round
The U.K.-based financial technology firm is reportedly engaging in discussions to secure approximately $1 billion.
This capital will be raised through both the issuance of new shares and the sale of existing shares.
Greenoaks, a U.S.-based investment firm, is anticipated to spearhead the funding round.
However, it’s important to note that the deal remains unconfirmed and the specific terms are subject to potential modifications.
Recent Financial Performance and Growth
In April, TechCrunch highlighted a substantial 72% increase in Revolut’s revenue during the previous year.
This growth translated into a profit of $1 billion for the company.
Furthermore, Revolut experienced a significant expansion in its user base, now exceeding 50 million customers.
The company obtained its banking licenses for operation within the U.K. last year and currently provides services across more than 30 countries.
Previous Valuation and Market Position
Revolut’s previous valuation reached $45 billion in 2024 following secondary market share sales.
This achievement positioned the company as one of the most highly valued technology enterprises in Europe.
Revolut has not yet issued a public statement regarding these developments.
