Monitor Your Google Accounts from the System Tray with Googsystray

Do you require an application that resides within your System Tray, providing notifications whenever new items arrive in your Google accounts? With Googsystray, comprehensive monitoring of all your preferred Google services is now readily achievable.

Getting Started with Googsystray

Upon initial launch, this window will be presented to you. The primary step involves adding the accounts you wish to track. Initiate the process by clicking the “Add Button”…

Selecting the “Add Button” will temporarily display a generic account listing. Highlight this listing and then click the “Edit Button”.

The “Edit Button” will open a dialog box allowing you to assign a custom name to the account and input the necessary account details. Confirm your changes by clicking “OK”.

Your newly added account will now be visible in the “Main Window”. Next, select the check-mark next to each service you want monitored for that specific account. In this example, “Mail, Calendar, Reader, & Wave” have been chosen.

Take a moment to explore the tabs associated with each service you’ve selected. Here, you can customize settings such as icon display and check frequency.

The final tab allows you to modify the appearance and behavior of your “Popup Notifier Windows”. You can preview their look using the “Test Popup Button” located in the lower left corner. Here, the window size is set to 100.0, and a custom color theme has been applied. Click “OK” to save your settings.

Googsystray in Action

The “System Tray Icons” for Googsystray are displayed here. The option to show individual icons for each service is available; alternatively, you can choose to display only the main app icon. Select the configuration that best suits your preferences.

By default, sounds are enabled to alert you to new items.

This is the small “Right Click Menu” for Googsystray…

Selecting the “GMail Icon” triggered the “Popup Notifier Window”. You can view the sender and subject of your emails, and utilize the “Text Commands” at the bottom to manage them.

Please note: Googsystray only monitors emails present in your “Inbox”.

Clicking on the email message within the “Popup Notifier Window” opened our default browser and directly displayed the account.

If you are not already “logged into your account” within the browser, you will be prompted to do so to access your account.

Next, we examined our new “Wave Messages”. To open a specific message, we clicked on the “blue links”.
