Numan Secures £10M Series A Funding - Men's Health Revolution

Appearing on the scene nearly a year and a half ago, Numan has become part of a rising number of platforms focused on men’s wellness, joining established companies like Roman and Hims.
Numan initially began with the goal of providing convenient medical treatments for erectile dysfunction, but has broadened its scope to establish a brand centered around subscription-based pharmaceuticals.
The company has recently finalized a £10 million Series A funding round, spearheaded by Novator, with participation from Anthemis Exponential, Vostok New Ventures and Colle Capital.
“Our vision is to create a healthcare company of a new type, offering men straightforward and easily available solutions for their health and wellness concerns… The recent global health crisis is encouraging men to prioritize their health more effectively,” stated Sokratis Papafloratos, Numan’s founder and CEO.
As a result of this funding, Birgir Már Ragnarsson from Novator will be joining Numan’s board. “We have been favorably impressed by Numan’s efficient use of capital to date and are enthusiastic about the company’s future plans. Healthcare represents a significant global economic opportunity, and we are pleased to support Numan’s progress.”
Numan plans to utilize these funds to further invest in its technological infrastructure, broaden its operational capacity, and expand its team, recently welcoming Sam Shah, previously CEO of NHSX, as chief medical strategy officer.
Studies consistently demonstrate that men are less likely to seek medical attention when experiencing health issues, despite facing a higher risk of cancer, heart disease, and obesity, and exhibiting greater tendencies towards smoking, alcohol consumption, and substance abuse. This is a key reason why companies like Numan are gaining momentum, as they empower men to adopt more proactive health management strategies.
