Lock Screen in Windows Media Player - Prevent Accidental Exits

Securing Your Windows Media Player Experience
When enjoying music or videos with Windows Media Player during a gathering, you might wish to prevent unintended interactions with your computer. This is especially useful when you are occupied with hosting duties.
Windows Media Player offers a built-in functionality to lock the screen while maintaining usability of the player interface. This allows for seamless control of your media without risking accidental system changes.
Locking the Screen in Full-Screen Mode
Initiate full-screen mode within Windows Media Player. A discreet icon will become visible in the lower-right corner of your display.
Selecting this icon will prompt a small input field. Here, you can establish a PIN code for security.
After entering your desired PIN, activate the adjacent green checkbox to engage the screen lock.
The screen will now be secured. Attempts to switch applications using Alt-Tab or the Windows key will be disabled until the lock icon is re-selected and the correct PIN is entered.
Consider the potential for interference from other software. For example, screenshot utilities like SnagIt can temporarily override the lock function.
Therefore, it’s advisable to close such applications prior to activating the screen lock feature.
