Following International Women’s Day, a consortium of prominent venture capital firms is collaborating to provide remote office hours for over 250 women founders throughout Europe on May 6th.

Addressing the "Warm Introduction" Barrier

This initiative is designed to eliminate the reliance on “warm introductions” within the funding landscape. The program offers each founder a valuable opportunity to connect with four investors.

During a dedicated one-hour remote office hour session, founders can present their technology-based business concepts, seek guidance, deliver investment pitches, or identify potential mentors.

Collaboration Between Key Organizations

The event is a joint effort organized by Playfair Capital, Tech Nation, and Google for Startups.

A diverse range of investment firms are participating, including Atomico, Creandum, Dawn, Balderton, EQT, Notion, LocalGlobe, Partech, and Sequoia.

Proven Track Record of Success

According to a Playfair representative, the previous four iterations of this program facilitated a total of 2,000 individual mentoring sessions.

These sessions involved 490 founders and 105 investors. Notably, 18% of participating founders subsequently secured funding.

Successful companies emerging from these events include Organise, SideQuest, Paid, Freyda, and Juno.

Leveraging AI for Optimized Matching

To enhance funding prospects, the event will utilize “AI matching technology” to connect founders with investors who are most aligned with their business needs.
