Blue Origin Announces All-Female Crew for Upcoming Spaceflight
Blue Origin, the space exploration company founded by Jeff Bezos, revealed the individuals selected for its next space mission on Thursday.
The announcement signifies another instance of affluent individuals participating in space tourism.

The flight manifest features several well-known personalities, including pop music icon Katy Perry and prominent broadcast journalist Gayle King.
Alongside them will be two accomplished scientists: Aisha Bowe and Amanda Nguyen.
Completing the crew are Lauren Sánchez, who is engaged to Jeff Bezos, and film producer Kerianne Flynn.
A Historic First
Blue Origin highlights that this mission represents the first entirely female space crew since Valentina Tereshkova’s pioneering solo flight in 1963.
Tereshkova, a Soviet cosmonaut, became the first woman to journey into space with that historic mission.
This flight will be the 31st overall for Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket, and the 11th carrying passengers.

The duration of the spaceflight is anticipated to be approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
Individuals interested in experiencing a similar journey can secure a future place through a $150,000 deposit.
This allows prospective space tourists to reserve a spot on a brief excursion beyond Earth’s atmosphere.
