As we approach the third quarter and the period of earnings reports, TechCrunch is pleased to announce that Yext’s Chief Executive Officer, Howard Lerman, will participate in a live question-and-answer session with us next Tuesday as a part of our ongoing Extra Crunch Live program.
This series has recently featured discussions with investment teams from Accel and Index Ventures, as well as prominent business figures, including Mark Cuban and Roelof Botha. Lerman will be among a select few guests who currently lead a publicly traded company.
However, Lerman isn’t a typical public company CEO – his organization first appeared at a TechCrunch event in 2009, promptly securing funding following the presentation. Consequently, Yext’s 2017 initial public offering was a noteworthy occasion for TechCrunch.
What topics will be covered? Several possibilities exist, but we will definitely explore the effects of COVID-19 on smaller businesses and how Yext is navigating a fluctuating marketplace. We will also examine the company’s advancements in search technology, a growing area for both product development and revenue, and how Yext has successfully expanded its offerings while maintaining its core objectives.
The discussion will also cover the adjustments a technology CEO faces when entering the public market and any guidance he may offer to companies contemplating, or currently pursuing, an IPO in 2020. This year has seen significant activity in startup liquidity, leading numerous startups to become publicly traded with diverse outcomes.
Furthermore, we’ll explore Lerman’s perspective on the most promising startups currently being developed, in addition to addressing questions from the audience. As with all Extra Crunch Live events, we will select questions from viewers. Therefore, please ensure your Extra Crunch Live membership is active and prepare your questions.
Further information is available below. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday!
