Meet the Experts

We are pleased to welcome Nwankwo and Bell to this episode. Nwankwo is the founder and leader of 1910 Genetics.

1910 Genetics leverages AI to expedite the process of discovering and developing innovative drug therapies for a diverse range of illnesses and conditions.

Nwankwo holds a Ph.D. in pharmacology and experimental therapeutics from Tufts University School of Medicine. Prior to her graduate studies, she contributed to the development of Trulicity, a medication for Type 2 diabetes.

Bell’s professional background includes the design and construction of autonomous robots for deep-sea exploration. He also spent six years at Apple, contributing to the design of their notebook computers.

Bell began his venture capital career at Playground Global in 2015. His investment focus is on deep tech, encompassing areas like aerospace, genomics, synthetic biology, and AI-driven drug discovery – exemplified by his investment in 1910 Genetics.
