Managing Messages While Composing in iOS Mail
When drafting a new email within the iOS Mail application, a need to review previous correspondence frequently arises. Rather than temporarily storing the current message as a draft, a more efficient method exists.
If you find yourself composing an email and simultaneously requiring access to your existing inbox, a simple gesture allows seamless switching. Drag the title bar of the new message downwards, towards the screen's lower edge.
Accessing Existing Mail
This action temporarily moves the composing message out of view. You are then free to navigate through your email folders.
You can now review older messages, perform searches, or complete any other necessary tasks within your inbox.
Returning to Your Draft
To resume working on the email you were composing, simply tap the title bar that now appears at the bottom of the screen.
This will bring the draft back into focus, allowing you to continue where you left off.
A Convenient Feature
Although straightforward once discovered, this functionality isn't immediately apparent within the Mail interface. It represents a subtle yet useful feature for enhanced email management.
The ability to temporarily dismiss the composition window streamlines the process of referencing prior emails during message creation.
