Apple Maps: Exploring Transit and Satellite Views

Significant improvements have been made to Apple Maps since its initial release. A useful feature, often overlooked, allows users to switch between viewing maps with public transit routes displayed or utilizing detailed satellite imagery.

Default Map View and Navigation

The standard map presentation, as seen on an iPad, offers familiar functionality. Users can easily zoom, rotate, and search for specific locations or addresses.

Exploring the Satellite View

macOS Version Features

On the macOS version of Maps, the three map mode buttons are readily accessible from the top-right corner of the application window.
