Manage Android Photos from Chrome | SnapPea Photos

Streamlining Android Photo Management with SnapPea Photos
Capturing photos with an Android phone is a common practice, but transferring those images to a computer can sometimes be a hassle. Previously, we reviewed SnapPea, a versatile tool for managing Android devices from a Windows PC. Now, SnapPea Photos offers a Chrome extension specifically designed to simplify photo management.
Eliminate the frustration of searching for a compatible USB cable – often misplaced when needed – by utilizing SnapPea Photos. All that’s required is the application installed on your phone and the extension installed within Chrome on your computer.
Installation Process
Begin by installing the application on your Android phone. Then, direct your attention to your preferred web browser.
Navigate to the Chrome Web Store to locate and download the extension.

Click the "Add to Chrome" button, and subsequently confirm your choice by clicking "Add" in the subsequent pop-up window.

Launch SnapPea on your phone or tablet to obtain a unique passcode. Keep this passcode readily available, as it will be needed momentarily.

Connecting and Accessing Photos
Within Chrome, select the SnapPea Photos button added to the toolbar. Enter the passcode obtained from your phone and click the ‘Sign in’ button to establish a connection.

After a brief loading period, a series of thumbnails representing the images stored on your phone will be displayed.

Selecting any thumbnail will redirect you to SnapPea’s web interface. While this interface is accessible independently, previewing images directly within Chrome offers a more streamlined and efficient experience.
Photo Management Features
Within the gallery view, clicking an image preview will display it in full size. You can then delete or download individual pictures by utilizing the corresponding icons located at the bottom of the preview.

Images captured with an incorrect orientation can be easily corrected using the web interface. Simply view the large version of the image and use the rotation button at the bottom of the screen to adjust its alignment.

The functionality extends beyond downloading; you can also upload images from your computer to your Android device. Locate the ‘Add photos’ button in the upper right corner of the web interface to initiate the transfer.
