For Firefox users, a simple technique exists to boost web browsing efficiency. This method allows for simultaneous viewing of multiple web pages, ideal for managing to-do lists or referencing information while exploring other sites.

Firefox incorporates a feature enabling the loading of any webpage directly into the sidebar. This facilitates viewing two distinct pages concurrently. In this example, we will demonstrate how to display a Wunderlist to-do list within the Firefox sidebar while browsing How-To Geek.

Bookmarking for Sidebar Access

Begin by navigating to the desired website for the sidebar – in our case, Wunderlist.com – and create a bookmark for it. A convenient way to bookmark a site is by dragging the icon located to the left of the website address onto the bookmarks bar.

Next, activate the sidebar loading functionality. Right-click on the newly created bookmark and select “Properties” from the context menu that appears.

Configuring the Bookmark

Within the bookmark’s Properties dialog box, locate and select the “Load this bookmark in the sidebar” checkbox. Ensure a checkmark is present to activate this feature. Then, confirm your changes by clicking “Save”.

Utilizing the Sidebar

Clicking the bookmark on the bookmarks bar will now open the designated site within the sidebar on the left side of the browser window. You can continue to navigate to other websites using the standard address bar on the right.
