Hide a Drive in Windows - Complete Guide

Hiding Drives in Windows
Typically, when a drive is connected to your computer, it's automatically assigned a drive letter. This applies to both removable storage devices and internal hard drives. Let's explore the process of concealing these drives from view.
Important Note: This method completely hides the drive, even from your own access. Re-accessing it requires utilizing the Disk Management tool.
Accessing Disk Management
To begin, you must open the Disk Management snap-in. This is achieved by right-clicking on the "Computer" icon and selecting "Manage" from the context menu.

Once the Computer Management MMC opens, locate and double-click the "Storage" option within the left-hand pane.

Subsequently, choose the option to open the Disk Management snap-in.

Removing the Drive Letter
Within the Disk Management console, identify the drive you wish to conceal in the lower portion of the interface. Right-click on the drive and select "Change Drive Letter and Paths..." from the resulting menu.

In the dialog box that appears, click the "Remove" button to eliminate the drive letter assignment.

A warning message will appear, informing you that programs relying on drive letters may cease to function. Confirm your decision by selecting "Yes" to proceed.

Final Result
The drive is now hidden. When you access "My Computer" or "This PC", the drive will no longer be visible.
