When engaged in meetings, traveling, or needing to silence your phone, vibrations serve as a discreet notification for incoming calls. The Vybe application enhances this functionality, allowing users to designate distinct vibration patterns to specific contacts.

Utilizing silent mode is beneficial for minimizing distractions and respecting the privacy of those nearby. Knowing your device will vibrate upon receiving a call provides reassurance, eliminating the need for constant checking.

Differentiating Calls with Vybe

Typically, a phone's vibration offers no distinction between crucial calls, unwanted spam, or messages from acquaintances. Vybe addresses this limitation.

This free tool empowers you to craft unique vibration signatures for individual contacts, enabling identification of callers without visually checking your device.

Download the application from Google Play and proceed through the initial tutorial. You’ll be presented with a recording interface similar to those used for audio recordings.

Creating Custom Vibration Patterns

Initiate the configuration of your first vibration pattern by tapping the red record button. Employ the central circular button to create the desired vibration sequence – consider Morse code, rhythmic patterns, or any personalized design.

Preview the created vibration by pressing the record button, which now functions as a play button. If unsatisfied, utilize the refresh button to restart, or save preferred patterns using the disk icon.

Managing Default Vibrations

Vybe’s capabilities extend to modifying the default vibration settings for both incoming calls and text messages. Access these options by selecting the corresponding call or SMS buttons at the application’s top.

Should you revert to the original settings, navigate to the Settings menu and clear the Default options.

Assigning Vibrations to Contacts

The core function of Vybe lies in associating unique vibrations with individual contacts. After recording a pattern, tap the "Add Contact" button located in the lower right corner.

Then, select the contact(s) to which the current vibration should be applied. Tap the circle button, followed by either ‘Apply to call’ or ‘Apply to SMS’.

The Settings menu provides a convenient inversion feature, useful for quickly selecting numerous contacts.

Vibration Pattern Management

Manage your created vibration patterns by tapping the button in the lower left corner of the app screen. From this section, you can delete unused patterns.

You can also replay saved patterns and reload them for assignment to contacts as needed.
