Archive & Manage Amazon Orders: A Simple Guide

Managing Your Amazon Order History
For frequent Amazon shoppers, a comprehensive order history is common. This article details how to effectively manage past purchases, including the option to archive them for a cleaner view.
An Amazon account’s order history can span years, potentially encompassing hundreds or even thousands of transactions. While recent orders – within the last six to twelve months – are typically the most pertinent, a substantial number of past purchases may remain visible. Amazon provides users with numerous tools to view, monitor, and even cancel orders.
Accessing Your Orders
To access your order history, navigate to your account and select "Your Orders" from the main menu. Several "Order Actions" are immediately available. A complete list of all previous orders can be found by clicking the "Your Orders" button.
You may be prompted to sign in to verify your account.
Filtering and Viewing Options
At the top of the "Your Orders" screen, you’ll find four categories for filtering your purchases. Past orders beyond the six-month timeframe can be viewed organized by year.
Each order within your history offers up to seven different options. These include the ability to repurchase an item quickly. Information such as the order date, total cost, shipping address, order details, and invoice access are also readily available.
Order Details and Actions
The "Track Package" feature displays the item’s order date, shipment details, and delivery status.
Returns are subject to a limited timeframe. The system indicates the remaining time available for returns and prompts you to select a reason for the return.
Providing Feedback
Seller feedback can be submitted via the "Leave Seller Feedback" page. A star rating and written comments can be provided to express your experience.
You can also evaluate your delivery and packaging experience, noting whether the item arrived on time and was adequately protected during shipping.
If you experienced difficulty opening the packaging, you can inform Amazon and provide detailed feedback, including images if necessary.
Sharing your thoughts on a recent purchase, or revisiting older orders to provide feedback, is straightforward. Simply assign a star rating and add a review if you wish.
Archiving Orders
Amazon allows you to archive up to 100 orders. This is useful for hiding frequently purchased items or removing orders you don’t want prominently displayed.
Archived orders remain accessible through the "View Archived Orders" link in your account.
For those who frequently shop on Amazon, managing your order history provides a centralized hub of powerful tools.
Optimizing your account management, and understanding the available options – including managing Kindle content – can significantly enhance your overall Amazon shopping experience.
