Add Settings Shortcut Widgets to Android Home Screen - Quick Guide

Streamlining Android Settings Access with Home Screen Shortcuts
Frequently accessed settings can be conveniently reached without navigating through the full Settings app. Android allows for the creation of shortcut widgets, providing one-click access to specific settings locations.
Accessing the Widgets Menu
Begin by locating and tapping the “All Apps” icon within the dock. This icon is typically found at the bottom of the screen in Portrait mode, or on the right side in Landscape mode.
Once the “Apps” screen appears, select the “Widgets” tab positioned at the top of the display.
Adding the Settings Shortcut Widget
Scroll through the available widgets by swiping left until you find the “Settings shortcut” option. Press and hold your finger on this widget.
Drag the widget onto one of your “Home” screens. The “Widgets” screen will close, allowing you to position the widget as desired. Release your finger once the widget is in its preferred location.
Configuring the Shortcut
A list of available “Settings” app sections will be displayed. Choose the specific setting you wish to access directly by tapping on its name.
The widget will then update to reflect the name of the selected “Settings” section.
Using the Shortcut
Tapping the newly created widget will instantly launch the chosen section within the “Settings” app.
Multiple “Settings” widgets can be added to your “Home” screens, offering rapid access to all your frequently used settings. This enhances usability and streamlines your Android experience.
