The device, named “AirTag” – presented in singular form despite its potential for multiple uses – will be available for purchase at a price of $29 individually, or $99 for a package containing four units. The official launch date is set for April 30th.

AirTags are designed with a replaceable battery, allowing for continued use. Notably, they do not include an integrated attachment mechanism. Users will require a separate case to affix the AirTag to items like keychains.

Features and Customization

Each AirTag incorporates a speaker to aid in locating misplaced belongings. When purchased directly from Apple online, users can personalize their AirTags with custom text engravings and/or emoji at no additional cost.

The system leverages the vast network of Apple devices to anonymously locate lost items. When an AirTag is lost, it sends out a secure Bluetooth signal. If another Apple device user comes within range, the location of the AirTag is updated, all while maintaining the privacy of both parties.

Important Note: The AirTag relies on nearby Apple devices for location updates. Its effectiveness is maximized in areas with high concentrations of iPhone, iPad, and Mac users.

Next-Generation Apple TV 4K

A significant update to the Apple TV 4K, initially released in 2017, was recently unveiled by Apple.
