Elevating Startups: Introducing Startup Alley+ at TechCrunch Disrupt 2021

We are actively seeking ambitious, early-stage founders eager to maximize their startup's potential for growth and achievement. A historically proven method for achieving this is through exhibiting within Startup Alley at TechCrunch Disrupt.

This year’s TechCrunch Disrupt event, taking place September 21-23, introduces a novel opportunity specifically designed for founders who secure a Startup Alley Pass. This new initiative is called Startup Alley+, and details are outlined below.

Startup Alley+: An Enhanced Experience

All founders exhibiting in Startup Alley are eligible for Startup Alley+ – a program crafted to provide enhanced education, increased visibility, and greater prospects for success even before the conference begins.

However, the TechCrunch team will carefully select just 50 founders to participate in this exclusive cohort. Their journey will commence with attendance at TechCrunch Early Stage: Marketing & Fundraising in July – offered at no cost.

Participation in Startup Alley+ requires only the initial investment of a Startup Alley Pass; there are no additional participation fees.

Exclusive Perks and Masterclasses

Participants will benefit from three months of complimentary business development support. Furthermore, they will engage in three focused masterclasses covering essential topics for early-stage founders:

  • Key Principles of the Lean Startup Methodology, led by John Lynn, founder of CELA Innovation.
  • How to Create Product/Market Fit, presented by Dan Olsen, author of “The Lean Product Playbook”.
  • Outreach Strategies for Contacting VCs and Press, featuring Annie Kadavy of Redpoint Ventures and TechCrunch editor Danny Crichton.

Wouldn’t perfecting your pitch before engaging with investors at Disrupt be advantageous? Startup Alley+ participants will have this opportunity through practice pitches at our mini pitch-offs during weekly Extra Crunch Live events.

Mark your calendars for these pitch sessions:

  • Session 1- July 21
  • Session 2 – August 4
  • Session 3 – August 18
  • Session 4 – September 1
  • Session 5 – September 8

Investor Connections and Pitch Opportunities

Maintain your pitching skills, as TechCrunch will facilitate introductions to leading investors through a new VC matchmaking program for Startup Alley+ participants. Additional pitching opportunities await at TC Disrupt itself, where every Startup Alley exhibitor receives two minutes to present during a breakout feedback session.

The criteria for consideration for Startup Alley+ are straightforward – simply exhibit in Startup Alley. TechCrunch will announce the selected founders by the end of June.

Secure your Startup Alley Pass now to be eligible. Applying before the early-bird deadline of next Friday, May 13 at 11:59 p.m. (PDT) will also save you $50.
