This funding round was spearheaded by Tiger Global, further solidifying the New York-based company’s financial standing. With this latest investment, nTopology’s cumulative funding now reaches $135 million.
Existing investors, including Root Ventures, Canaan Partners, Haystack, and Insight Partners, also contributed to this round.
Focus on Advanced CAD Solutions
nTopology develops CAD software intended for engineers across diverse industries. These include industrial design, the aerospace sector, automotive engineering, and medical device development.
The company positions itself as providing a more streamlined and efficient solution compared to conventional systems, with a particular emphasis on 3D printing and additive manufacturing processes.
“Throughout my earlier professional experience, I observed that conventional engineering software, such as CAD, often hindered innovative design efforts,” stated Bradley Rothenberg, co-founder and CEO of nTopology, in a press release.
“Our company was specifically created to address the challenges faced by engineers, enabling them to maximize the potential of additive manufacturing and overcome the limitations of older design tools.”
Growing Client Base and Strategic Partnerships
nTopology’s software, recently updated to version 3.0, is currently utilized by approximately 300 clients.
Notable customers include prominent organizations such as Ford, Lockheed Martin, and Honeywell.
The company has also established a strategic partnership with Stratasys, a leading 3D printing manufacturer, to jointly develop the FDM Assembly Fixture Generator.
This platform is specifically designed to optimize workflows within additive manufacturing environments.
Future Expansion Plans
nTopology intends to utilize the newly acquired funding to broaden its global presence.
Furthermore, the company plans to invest in the development of new and enhanced features for its software platform.
