Gemini Now Supports Video & Screen Input for Questions

Gemini Gains New Capabilities with Video and Screenshare Features
Google is enhancing its Gemini AI assistant with innovative functionalities. These updates empower users to pose queries utilizing live video input and on-screen content.
Introducing Screenshare for Interactive Assistance
Demonstrated at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, the new “Screenshare” feature facilitates real-time interaction. Users can now share their phone’s display with Gemini and request information regarding the displayed content.
For instance, Google presented a scenario where a user, while browsing for loose-fitting jeans, inquired about complementary apparel options.
Video Search: Questioning Content in Real-Time
The video search capability was initially previewed during Google I/O last year. This feature allows users to ask Gemini questions about a video while it is being recorded.
Essentially, it enables interactive questioning of visual content as it unfolds.
Availability and Subscription Details
These new features are scheduled for release to subscribers of Gemini Advanced. Access will be granted through the Google One AI Premium plan on Android devices later this month.
The rollout will begin later in the current month, providing enhanced AI assistance to premium users.
