Google AI Ultra Price: How Much Does Google's Best AI Cost?

Google Announces Google AI Ultra Subscription
A new subscription service, Google AI Ultra, is being introduced by Google to consolidate access to a wider range of its artificial intelligence offerings.
The announcement of this plan occurred during Google I/O 2025 on Tuesday. Google describes it as providing the “highest level of access” to its AI-driven applications and services.
Subscription Details and Included Features
Priced at $249.99 monthly, AI Ultra encompasses access to Google’s Veo 3 video generator, the newly released Flow video editing application, and a sophisticated AI capability known as Gemini 2.5 Pro Deep Think mode, which is currently awaiting launch.
According to Josh Woodward, VP of Google Labs and Gemini, “[Ultra is] designed for individuals seeking to utilize the most advanced AI technologies available from Google,” as stated during a press conference.
Comparison to Other Premium AI Subscriptions
Currently available exclusively within the U.S., AI Ultra joins a growing market of high-end AI subscription services. OpenAI previously launched ChatGPT Pro late last year, priced at $200 per month, offering increased usage limits and exclusive features. Anthropic followed with Claude Max, also costing up to $200 monthly.
Additional Benefits of Google AI Ultra
Google is enhancing the value proposition by including a variety of supplementary features.
Beyond Flow, Veo 3, and Gemini 2.5 Pro Deep Think, AI Ultra provides elevated limits within the NotebookLM platform and Whisk, the company’s image editing tool. Subscribers also gain access to Gemini chatbot integration within Chrome, select “agentic” tools powered by Project Mariner technology, YouTube Premium, and a substantial 30TB of storage shared across Google Drive, Google Photos, and Gmail.
Agent Mode and Google AI Pro
An agentic tool called Agent Mode is slated for desktop release “soon.” Google explains that Agent Mode will be capable of web browsing, conducting research, and integrating with Google applications to manage specific tasks.
Simultaneously with the introduction of AI Ultra, Google is replacing its existing Google One AI Premium plan with Google AI Pro. AI Pro will include access to products like Flow, NotebookLM, and the Gemini app (formerly Gemini Advanced), all featuring enhanced capabilities and increased usage limits.
AI Pro subscribers will also receive access to Flow and early access to Gemini in Chrome. Furthermore, they will benefit from real-time speech translation in Google Meet for English and Spanish, with additional languages planned for future implementation.
This speech translation feature, also available to AI Ultra users, translates spoken language into the listener’s preferred language while maintaining the speaker’s voice, tone, and expression.
