getaccept raises $20m series b, led by bessemer, to expand its sales platform for smbs

Digital sales platform GetAccept secured $7 million in Series A funding the previous year. Now, the platform – integrating video, live chat, proposal creation, document monitoring, and electronic signatures – has obtained $20 million in Series B financing, spearheaded by Bessemer Venture Partners, as the company broadens its services for small and medium-sized businesses. This investment arrives as the pandemic has prompted a widespread transition to remote operations for SMBs, fundamentally altering their digital sales procedures.

DN Capital previously led the funding efforts last year, with contributions from BootstrapLabs, Y Combinator, and several initial investors in Spotify. This latest round elevates GetAccept’s cumulative funding to $30 million. GetAccept operates in a competitive market, facing rivals such as DocSend, PandaDoc, Showpad, Highspot, DocuSign, and Adobe Sign, all of which have substantial financial backing.

Established in 2015 by Swedish founders and Y Combinator graduates Samir Smajic, Mathias Thulin, Jonas Blanck, and Carl Carell, GetAccept has grown its team from 30 to over 100 employees in the past year and a half, with locations throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Smajic stated: “Our core belief centers on the importance of strong relationships, and we are dedicated to reintroducing personalized, interactive experiences into the digital sales landscape. We anticipated this move towards digital sales and evolving customer behavior back in 2015, which was the driving force behind the creation of GetAccept. The COVID-19 pandemic has expedited this shift, compelling both B2B buyers and sellers to embrace digital channels, thereby prioritizing digital sales strategies. Our goal is to become the primary online destination for all B2B commerce, fostering a personal touch in every interaction.”

Alex Ferrara, a partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, noted: “Bessemer Venture Partners is excited to support the determined GetAccept team and their objective to enable millions of SMBs to optimize and digitize their complete sales workflows. They have developed a superior product, well-positioned to address the accelerating and lasting trend of online business transactions. We are eager to collaborate with GetAccept as they move forward.”
