Installation Process
During the setup process, pay close attention to two specific installation windows – the third and fourth. Within the third window, you’ll be prompted to choose between the Pro and Lite editions. The default selection is the “Install PRO-Edition,” so ensure you explicitly select “Install LITE-Edition.”
The fourth window presents the option to install AM-Notebook Lite directly onto your hard drive or as a portable application on a USB Flash Drive, offering exceptional flexibility.
First Impressions of AM-Notebook Lite
Upon launching AM-Notebook Lite after installation, the Notes Module will be displayed initially. This module is designated as the default, though it can be configured to start with a different module according to your preference.

The “General Tab” allows you to configure settings related to the System Tray, the default module displayed upon startup, reminder functionality, backup frequency and retention, the appearance of your Notes List, Notes, Spreadsheets, & Lists, and the ability to extend AM-Notebook Lite’s functionality with .ini files.
You can also customize how notes are handled, URL behavior, the default font for notes, the measurement system, break line styles, hotkey access to specific notes, date formatting, and custom text insertion.
Within the “TODO Tab,” you can specify how long completed tasks should be retained before automatic deletion.
The “Calendar Tab” allows you to define the retention period for calendar events and select a suitable time scale (ranging from 5 to 60 minutes).
