get live feedback on your pitch deck from big-name vcs on extra crunch live

The effectiveness of your startup’s pitch deck can determine whether you secure funding or are overlooked. It frequently serves as the initial interaction between a company and potential venture investors, yet the process remains somewhat unclear.

How do investors actually review these presentations? Do they quickly scan the slides or dedicate more time to each one? Do they prioritize information about the team or a broader understanding of the market? Are they looking for more data or more descriptive text? And what constitutes the ideal number of slides?

These questions are numerous, and definitive answers are often scarce. However, we are providing insight into this process with our Pitch Deck Teardown series. We have previously conducted Pitch Deck Teardowns at events such as Disrupt and Early Stage 2020, and we are expanding this initiative this year.

As part of Extra Crunch Live, our regular event series designed to connect investors and founders, we will be providing EC members with a unique opportunity to receive live critiques of their pitch decks from our featured guests. Specifically, each week, venture capitalists and prominent tech founders will review pitch decks submitted by the Extra Crunch community and share their perspectives.

This is where you can participate. We are inviting EC members to submit their pitch decks right here!

Access to pitch deck reviews will be exclusive to EC members, so please ensure you use the email address associated with your Extra Crunch account when submitting.

Last week, we detailed what you can anticipate from Extra Crunch Live in 2021. Here’s a quick overview:

  • Series A – Discover successful fundraising strategies! We will feature presentations from founder/investor teams who will discuss the Series A pitch deck that resulted in funding.
  • Pitch Deck Teardowns – Extra Crunch members will have the chance to submit their pitch deck and receive feedback from our guests, including VCs and founders (EC members can submit their pitch decks right here!).
  • Live Pitch-offs – Audience members will be able to volunteer to deliver their elevator pitch to the audience and obtain immediate feedback from venture capitalists.
  • Networking!! – The Extra Crunch membership fosters a strong community. ECL will provide a platform to connect with fellow attendees, even in a virtual setting. You might even find your next co-founder or investor!
  • Consistency – ECL will consistently take place at 12pm PT/3pm ET on Wednesdays. Mark your calendar and plan accordingly.

We are very enthusiastic about ECL in 2021 and look forward to launching the series. Further details regarding upcoming speakers will be announced shortly!
