Installation Process
Upon initiating the installation, a confirmation prompt will appear. Selecting “Install” is required to successfully integrate BoogleMarks into your Chrome browser. Following installation, a new BoogleMarks Toolbar Icon will become visible, accompanied by a notification concerning extension options.
Access to the BoogleMarks options is exclusively facilitated through the “Chrome Extensions Page.”
The available options allow customization of the “Folder Divider,” the name assigned to the “Unlabeled Bookmarks Folder,” the appearance of “BoogleMarks Icon Images,” and the visuals for “BoogleMarks Folder Images.”
BoogleMarks in Operation
Initially, the “BoogleMarks Drop-Down Window” will appear empty when first opened. Observe the three “button-commands” positioned at the top of this window.
Selecting “Reload” will populate the window with all of your bookmarks, categorized into “Folder Groups” based on the labels you’ve assigned. If you aren’t currently logged in, you will be prompted to authenticate your account.
Clicking on the “Folder Groups” will expand them for detailed viewing. Individual bookmarks can be opened in a new tab by simply clicking on them. To collapse these groups, click on them again. It’s worth noting that the bookmarks will automatically collapse each time the drop-down window is reopened, enhancing browsing efficiency.
The “Manage Bookmarks” option within the drop-down window will direct you to your Google Bookmarks account in a new browser tab.
Choosing “Add Bookmark” from the drop-down will launch a dedicated “Add a bookmark Tab,” enabling you to input all necessary information for your new bookmark.
