German Bionic Unveils New Exoskeleton at CES 2025

German Bionic Unveils Apogee Ultra Exoskeleton at CES 2025
During CES 2025, German Bionic introduced the Apogee Ultra, a robotic exoskeleton positioned as the “world’s most powerful” of its kind. This designation stems from its capacity to provide substantial dynamic lift assistance.
The system is capable of assisting with lifts of up to 80 pounds. This means a 70-pound load can be perceived as weighing only nine to eleven pounds by the operator’s lower back, significantly reducing strain.
Beyond Lifting: Enhanced Mobility
The Apogee Ultra doesn’t just aid in lifting; it also provides walking assistance. A 10-mile walk, for instance, can feel equivalent to an eight-mile journey thanks to this feature.
German Bionic is targeting sectors such as baggage handling and construction with this technology. Industries requiring prolonged periods of standing and walking, like nursing, are also key areas of focus.
Augmenting, Not Replacing, Human Labor
The core principle behind robotic exoskeletons is to augment human capabilities, not to eliminate jobs through automation. This allows companies to achieve greater productivity with a potentially smaller workforce when tackling physically demanding tasks.
Furthermore, these systems offer the potential to decrease workplace injury rates. German Bionic reports a 31% reduction in employee sick leave attributed to the use of their exoskeletons.
Data-Driven Refinement and AI Integration
The Apogee Ultra’s performance has been continuously improved through the analysis of extensive data. This data was gathered from thousands of users during real-world applications over numerous hours.
The exoskeleton incorporates AI to personalize its assistance based on the individual wearer’s requirements. Future improvements and features will be delivered via over-the-air software updates.
Availability and Pricing
The Apogee Ultra is currently available for purchase directly from the German Bionic website. However, specific pricing details were not yet available at the time this information was published.
