Recover Forgotten Firefox Password - How To Guide

Recovering Forgotten Passwords in Firefox

Like most widely-used web browsers, Firefox offers a convenient feature for storing your passwords. This functionality is frequently utilized, and it can lead to a situation where you've forgotten the password when attempting to log in on a different device.

This guide details the process of locating passwords that have been saved within your Firefox browser.

Accessing Firefox Options

Begin by navigating to the Firefox options menu. This can be accessed through the Tools menu, then selecting Options.

Navigating to Password Settings

Within the Options window, select the Privacy button. Then, choose the Passwords tab. This section manages all your saved login credentials.

Clicking on View Saved Passwords will display a list of websites and their associated usernames and passwords.

Revealing Saved Passwords

To view the actual passwords, click the Show Passwords button.

You can then scroll through the list to find the specific website password you require.

Important Note: For privacy reasons, usernames may be obscured in the displayed list, as demonstrated in the example image.
