FightCamp Secures $90M in Funding

FightCamp, an innovative at-home training platform centered around boxing and kickboxing, has announced a new funding round of $90 million.

This substantial investment comes from a diverse group of investors, notably including several prominent figures from the world of combat sports.

How FightCamp Works

FightCamp combines smart sensors – referred to as “punch trackers” and worn with boxing gloves – with a streaming service offering guided training videos.

During workouts, the system meticulously records metrics such as punch count and punch speed, providing users with performance data over time.

Essentially, FightCamp delivers a similar experience to Peloton, but specifically tailored for punching and striking exercises.

Key Investors in the Round

The funding round was spearheaded by NEA and Connect Ventures, a partnership between NEA and Creative Artists Agency.

Additional investors include Supercell CEO Iikka Paananen, ClassPass CEO Fritz Lanman, musician Usher, and actress Katheryn Winnick, known for her role in the TV series Vikings and her martial arts expertise.

Notably, the investor list also features a number of celebrated fighters: Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather, Georges St-Pierre, and Francis Ngannou, the UFC heavyweight champion recognized for possessing one of the most powerful punches in the world.

Future Plans and Expansion

Currently, the FightCamp platform is exclusively available on iOS devices.

However, the company intends to utilize the new funding to facilitate international expansion, enhance its library of subscription-based content, and develop an Android application.

Pricing and Availability

The FightCamp equipment package is offered at various price points, ranging from $439 to $1349, depending on the included components.

A comprehensive package, priced at $1219, includes a free-standing punching bag, a protective mat, boxing gloves, and the essential punch trackers.

For those who already possess the necessary gym equipment, the punch trackers alone are available for $439.

The monthly subscription fee for access to the training content is $39.

Company History

FightCamp initially launched in 2016 under the name “Hykso,” initially concentrating on the sale of the punch tracking hardware.

In 2018, the company broadened its focus to incorporate subscription content, leading to the adoption of the “FightCamp” brand, which is now predominantly used.

Prior to this latest round, FightCamp had secured $8 million in funding, bringing its total funding to $98 million.
