Extra Crunch Live Returns in 2021 - TechCrunch

As the global focus centered on the coronavirus pandemic in April 2020, we recognized that the startup ecosystem faced entirely new challenges. We considered how startups could best approach fundraising, manage operations, and gain a clearer understanding of the evolving market. 

Within a short period of two weeks, we launched a series called Extra Crunch Live, offering Extra Crunch subscribers the chance to learn from and network with prominent industry leaders. We featured a number of well-known figures in technology and venture capital, including Roelof Botha, Kirsten Green, Zach Perret, Charles Hudson, Aileen Lee, Mark Cuban, Howard Lerman, Niko Bonatsos and Alexa Von Tobel — and this represents just a portion of those involved. 

Remarkably, we produced 44 episodes of the show throughout 2020. 

This initiative has proven to be highly successful by all accounts. However, we at TechCrunch are committed to continuous improvement. Therefore, I am pleased to announce Extra Crunch Live 2.0. 

For 2021, we will be refining the Extra Crunch Live format to enhance interaction between founders, audience members, and our featured speakers. We are confident you will find the updated experience valuable. 

Here’s What’s New: 

• Series A – Discover insights into successful fundraising strategies! We will dedicate a segment to presentations from founder/investor teams who will share the Series A pitch decks that secured their funding. 
• Pitch Deck Teardowns – Extra Crunch members will have the opportunity to submit their pitch decks for feedback from our guests, including both VCs and founders (EC members can submit their pitch decks right here!). 
• Live Pitch-offs – Audience members will be able to volunteer to deliver their elevator pitches to the audience and receive immediate feedback from venture capitalists.
• Networking!! – The Extra Crunch membership fosters a strong community. Extra Crunch Live will provide a platform to connect with fellow audience members, even in a virtual setting. You might even find your next co-founder or investor! 
• Consistency – Extra Crunch Live will consistently be held at 12pm PT/3pm ET on Wednesdays. You can schedule it in your calendar and rely on it being there.
