Enable VNC Remote Desktop on Kubuntu - A Step-by-Step Guide

Remote Desktop Control in Kubuntu
Kubuntu provides a native feature enabling remote desktop access for other users. Similar to Ubuntu, it supports desktop control via a VNC client. However, Kubuntu offers a more extensive range of configuration options.
Access the desktop sharing settings by clicking the "Start" button and navigating to Internet \ Krfb Desktop Sharing. From this interface, you can generate "Invitations" to grant another user viewing access to your desktop.
These invitations can be conveniently distributed via email, and previously created invitations can be managed. This article focuses on enabling full remote control of the system.
Configuration Options
Click the Configure button to reveal the settings screen. This screen presents several options for controlling remote access.
To enable remote control of the desktop from another machine without needing physical access, configure the options as illustrated. This allows for unattended access.
If you prefer to be prompted for permission on the local machine before a connection is established, select the Confirm uninvited connections checkbox.
Security Considerations
It's important to acknowledge that this method isn't the most secure way to access your system. At a minimum, setting a strong password is highly recommended.
For enhanced security, consider enabling SSH and a firewall. Restrict connections to only those established through an SSH tunnel. This provides a significantly more secure remote access solution.
