SecureCRT Quick Copy & Paste - Mouse Integration

SecureCRT Copy and Paste Customization
SecureCRT employs the Ctrl+Ins and Shift+Ins key combinations for copying and pasting operations. This differs from the standard Windows defaults of Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V.
This deviation exists because many Unix and Linux distributions utilize the Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V keys within their shell environments.
Simplifying Copy and Paste
While searching for a more efficient method than using the Ctrl+Ins key combination, a simpler solution was discovered. This involves automatically copying selected text to the clipboard.
Pasting can also be streamlined by simply clicking the middle mouse button.
Enabling Quick Copy and Paste
To activate this functionality, navigate to the following menu options: Options \ Global Options.
Within the Category listing, select Terminal. This will reveal the relevant configuration section.
Check the first two checkboxes presented in this section to enable the desired behavior.
For instance, to copy a specific line to the clipboard, simply select it with the mouse. The text will be immediately copied, without requiring any further action.
This method provides a faster and more intuitive workflow for copying and pasting within SecureCRT.
