Restore Computer with File and Settings Transfer Wizard XP - Part 2

Transferring Files and Settings to a New Computer

As detailed in the first part of this guide, your files and settings were previously saved onto a network drive. This section will demonstrate the process of moving those saved items to your new computer.

To ensure compatibility, verify that you are utilizing the identical version of migwiz.exe. Insert your Windows XP installation disc; it should automatically initiate. From the options presented, select "Perform additional tasks."

Initiating the Transfer Wizard

Following this, choose the "Transfer files and settings" option to begin the restoration process.
